How much do same day movers cost in toronto for a 2 bedroom apartment

I need to move from my 2-bedroom in Parkdale due to a terrible landlord situation, and I have to do it today. I was quoted $150 per hour by one crew but they only accept cash and won't provide a receipt. Is this normal for moving companies in Toronto? How do I protect myself?
