Need clarity on roommate agreements and lease terms in Toronto

I’m signing a lease soon and want to know my rights regarding roommates. If we share costs, does that mean I’m liable for their part if they can’t pay? Also, how do I ensure our rental agreement covers essential details? Any insights on what the Landlord and Tenant Board expects would be helpful!
