Considering 25 widdicombe hill for my commute to downtown and transit options

I'm checking out 25 Widdicombe Hill and need to know how easy it is to get to downtown using TTC. What's the subway or bus situation like around here? Also, how bike-friendly is the area for those days I want to pedal instead of ride the streetcar?
