When to notify landlord while booking movers for toronto apartment

I’m moving from a small unit in Markham to downtown Toronto next month and need to give my landlord a notice. I’m confused about how to time it right with booking movers—how far in advance do you usually book? I’ve heard it can vary widely in cost, so I don’t want to wait too long!
