Is living near Square One worth the cost?

I'm considering subletting an apartment in the Square One area, but I'm unsure if the price justifies the convenience. The central location offers easy access to shopping, dining, and transit, but does that make it a good value? Anyone have thoughts on whether the benefits outweigh the higher rent?
