Debating downsizing to 424 yonge st - what's the local scene like?

I'm thinking about making the jump to a condo at 424 Yonge St since the kids are off on their own. I'm keen on walkability and local cafes or parks nearby. How's the public transit access? Would love to hear about the everyday feel of the area and what amenities might be around.
