Looking into 2328 Islington Ave – how's the TTC for downtown commutes?

I'm curious about living at 2328 Islington Ave and commuting to downtown. How's the subway access from there? Are there good bike lanes for getting around, or is walking to transit easy? Would I be able to make it to Union Station in a reasonable time during rush hour?
