Concerns About Unfair Deposit Practices

I'm worried about my last month's rent deposit not being returned properly. My landlord mentioned upkeeping fees that seem unfair, and I fear they might use that as an excuse to keep my deposit. Anyone else dealt with a situation like this in Toronto? What are my rights?
