How much do movers cost in toronto for a basement to condo move

I got quotes from three moving companies for my move from a basement unit in Little Italy to a high-rise condo downtown, and they vary by $400! One crew seemed good but had surprising extra fees. Anyone else dealt with this? How do you choose the right movers without breaking the bank?
