GO Train commute from Mississauga to downtown tips?

I'm starting a new job in downtown Toronto and will be commuting daily via the GO Train from Mississauga. How reliable is the GO Train schedule during peak hours? Also, any insights on the cost of a monthly GO pass and the overall experience would be really helpful!
