Renting in Toronto is a nightmare - what's with the crazy prices?!

I can’t believe the insanity of this rental market! How is anyone supposed to afford these ridiculous prices? Landlords are asking for $2800 for a bachelor pad, seriously?! I’ve viewed 15 places and they’re all gone within hours. I’m so sick of this bidding war nonsense!
