My landlord only communicates through cheerful sticky notes!

Not sure if this is normal landlord behavior, but my landlord has taken to leaving sticky notes in bright colors all over my door! One read, 'Don't forget to smile!' and another said, 'Happy Tuesday - enjoy a treat!' Is this weird or am I the weird one for finding it charming?
