How do people afford to live in Toronto these days?

I’m genuinely confused about how anyone can afford to live in Toronto now. What income do you need to make ends meet in this city? It feels like only rich people can survive here. I just don’t understand how regular folks manage with the skyrocketing rents. Who can afford this?
