Lost Another Apartment: So Frustrated!

I just lost another apartment because someone else got it! It's so disheartening getting rejected time and again. I know it's competitive out there, but how can I improve my chances? Are there specific areas in Toronto that are more pet-friendly? Trying to figure this out!
