Renting in Toronto: This Market is Insane!

Another rent increase, seriously?! Landlords are out for blood. I just lost out on another place because I was outbid AGAIN! How am I supposed to find affordable housing near campus when a bachelor is going for $2800? This market is absolutely impossible to navigate. I'm totally fed up!
