Are Landlords Allowed to Charge These Deposits in Toronto?

I'm baffled by the range of deposits some landlords are asking for in Toronto. From pet deposits to damage deposits, it seems like a lot of extra fees that might not even be legal. Can someone clarify what's actually allowed and what's just a money grab from landlords?
