176 The Esplanade has good transit options for downtown commuting

I'm considering moving to 176 The Esplanade and want to know how the TTC handles commutes to downtown locations like St. Michael's Hospital. Are there bike lanes nearby, and how's the walk to Union Station for GO trains? Any insight on reliability at rush hour would be appreciated!
