Frustrated by Condo Board Rental Restrictions

I just graduated and I'm struggling to find a suitable apartment due to condo board rental restrictions. The bylaws seem overly strict, like limiting tenant guests or enforcing amenity restrictions that make it hard to enjoy my first place. Why are renters being discriminated against like this?
