Checking out 1592 Bathurst St and curious about transit options

I'm looking at 1592 Bathurst St because I need easy campus access and I heard the TTC is close by. Also, how walkable is the area for grabbing groceries or going out? I'm thinking about roommate costs too, so anything on that would help!
