Are deposit fees really legal? Can't be! 🤔

I keep hearing about landlords asking for various deposits—pet fees, key deposits, damage fees—like, are these even allowed? It's hard to believe all these charges are legit. Can anyone clarify what's really permissible in Toronto? This just feels off to me!
