Is the Pet Deposit Legal in Ontario? Confused!

Hi all, I'm really confused about the whole pet deposit situation in Ontario. My landlord just mentioned a pet fee and I'm not sure if that's even legal. Can they charge me for a pet deposit? What's the difference between pet rent and what other fees they can ask for? Any clarity would help!
