Just stumbled on 10 lamport ave and curious about the area

I'm checking out 10 Lamport Ave since I love the vibe of the Junction but need a place with easy transit access. How's the walkability there? Are there good shops or cafes around? I just want to make sure I won't be stuck in the suburbs if I end up there.
