Price check: $2000 for 2BR in East York - fair or crazy?

I found a 2BR for $2000 in East York. It has decent space and a small balcony, but the building has had issues with heating lately. Is this a good deal or am I missing something? The last place I rented had constant maintenance problems—just trying to make sure I don’t get stuck again!
