Is 15 Shallmar Blvd good for an easy commute to downtown toronto?

I'm checking out 15 Shallmar Blvd and curious about the TTC options. How quick is the subway ride to downtown? Also, are there bus or streetcar routes nearby that can get me around efficiently? Any tips for cycling in the area with the bike lanes in mind would be great too!
