GO Train from Mississauga to downtown: Reliability and Costs?

I'm in a bit of a bind and need to rely on the GO Train from Mississauga to get to downtown Toronto several times a week. How reliable is this transit option? Also, can anyone share insights on the GO Train schedule and whether getting a monthly GO pass is worth it for daily commuting?
