Rentals are a nightmare in Toronto right now!

Another rent increase, seriously? Just saw a bachelor going for $2800! I can’t believe I’m fighting over $400 increases in one year. I've viewed 15 places lately and they’re ALL taken within hours. This market is impossible. Just got outbid AGAIN. How is anyone supposed to afford this?!
