How safe is The Beaches neighborhood for families with children?

I'm considering moving to The Beaches area of Toronto and want to know how safe it is for my family. I'm particularly interested in crime rates, family-friendly amenities, and access to schools. Safety is my top priority as I have young children, and I want to ensure the area is suitable for them.
