Need help finding a rental before the winter rush!

My lease is ending next month, and I'm really stressed out about finding a place! I've been looking around Kensington Market and Queen West, but the prices seem steep. Is $2500 too high for a one-bedroom? Any tips or recommendations for neighborhoods with more reasonable rents? Thanks!
