Exploring parking and storage options in Toronto apartments

Just started at my first job and I'm on the hunt for an apartment in Toronto. Is it normal for parking to cost almost as much as rent? And what about visitor passes—are they easy to manage? Any tips on bike storage or storage lockers would be awesome!
