Pet Deposit Confusion - Legal Limits in Ontario?

I'm really confused about pet deposits in Ontario. My landlord wants to charge a pet deposit, but I've heard that pet deposits might be illegal here. Can they ask for a pet fee or charge for 'pet rent'? What are the actual limits on what landlords can charge for pets? Any clarity would help!
