Landlords entering apartments without proper notice

I've noticed an unsettling trend with my landlord entering without providing proper notice. It feels like a violation of our privacy, especially when they show up for viewings without any warning. Does anyone else in Toronto feel uneasy about their entry rights? What can we do to protect ourselves?
