Optimal Apartment Size for WFH Needs

I'm considering my apartment setup for working from home. How much space do I really need? Is 500 sqft enough, or should I look for a dedicated office? I find that studios can feel too cramped for remote work. Who else has tips on creating a functional WFH environment?
