Fridge's been broken for weeks - what can I do? Tenant rights?

My fridge has been broken for weeks, and my landlord won't fix it! Whose responsibility is it to repair appliances? How fast must they respond to maintenance requests? I'm frustrated with the lack of action. What are my rights as a tenant in Toronto?
