Worried About Condo Special Assessment Costs for Renters

I'm really concerned about the special assessment affecting my condo. Do renters like me have to pay these extra costs? I've heard that condo fees could go up, leading to a rent increase. I'm also considering leaving due to the assessment, but finding pet-friendly rentals is a struggle!
