How's the Kendal Ave area for rentals? Any tips?

I'm thinking of moving to the Kendal Ave area in Toronto for a few months and could really use some local insights. What's the rental scene like there? Are the prices reasonable? Also, how's the transit access and safety in the neighborhood? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
