Just moved to Leslieville - how's the rental scene?

I just made the jump to Leslieville and I'm loving it! The vibe is super laid back, but I've noticed rental prices are climbing. Anyone else feel like the neighborhood's charm is mixed with more construction lately? Would love to hear experiences from other renters here!
