Parking Fees and Landlord Communication

I'm currently looking for a place in Toronto and wondering how much parking typically adds to the rent. I've heard some landlords aren't transparent about additional fees. Has anyone had experiences with unexpected costs or good interactions regarding parking? Would love to hear your stories!
