Sick of Waiting for Repairs! Landlord's Ignoring Us

Our dishwasher has been broken for weeks, and despite multiple requests, the landlord has ghosted us. The heating is spotty, making this frigid Toronto winter unbearable. It's frustrating trying to live comfortably when our landlord just won't lift a finger! How is this even legal?
