Best Downtown Toronto Neighborhoods for First-Time Renters Under $2500/Month

Hey everyone! I'm a recent graduate looking to move to downtown Toronto for my first job. My budget is around $2400/month for a 1-bedroom or nice studio. I've been looking at King West, Entertainment District, and some areas near Yonge/Eglinton. For those who've rented downtown - what neighborhoods would you recommend for someone in their mid-20s? I care about: - Transit access (need to get to Financial District) - Safety walking home late - Some nightlife/restaurants nearby - Buildings that aren't falling apart I've heard mixed things about different areas. Liberty Village seems popular but I'm worried about the commute. Any advice would be hugely appreciated!
