Seeking a 1BR house for rent amid confusion

I'm trying to find a 1 bedroom house rental in Toronto, but I'm feeling a bit lost. I want a standalone one bedroom, not an apartment. Are there good places to look for small houses? Also, I came across some unusual lease clauses and I'm wondering, is this normal?
