For anyone who’s rented and used a Realtor in Toronto, how useful was your realtor? I’ve been hearing mixed experiences. Some people say their agent really helped them find hidden listings or negotiate, while others say most just copy what’s already on MLS and push you to sign fast. Is it worth working with a realtor if you’re just renting, or is it better to look on your own through sites like Realtor.ca or Facebook groups? Also curious how they get paid on rentals — do tenants pay or landlords cover the commission? Trying to understand how the whole thing works before I reach out to anyone.
