Is renting in Port Credit worth the price?

I'm considering moving to the Port Credit area and looking at apartments, but I'm a bit confused about some lease clauses. Are there any unusual requests from landlords I should watch out for? Also, how's the lifestyle living near the waterfront in Mississauga? Is it worth the cost?
