Toronto rents hitting $2400 - how can we afford this?

Average rent for a 1BR in Toronto has skyrocketed to $2400, leaving many of us struggling to find affordable housing. I'm making $60k but spending over 60% of my income on rent. Is this what we can expect going into 2025? Where are the affordable options for working-class individuals like me?
