Another rent hike?! How is anyone surviving this market?

Just got a notice of $400 rent increase. WTF?! How do they expect anyone to afford this? Saw a tiny bachelor for $2800—seriously?! I viewed 15 places, all gone in hours. So sick of these bidding wars. This is absolutely impossible for students!
