Why is my Hydro Bill Suddenly Skyrocketing?

My electricity costs have nearly doubled this month without any changes to my usage. Is this normal for Toronto? I'm worried there's an unseen problem or error with my bill. Should I contact my provider or has anyone else experienced this?
