Are rental bidding wars still a thing in 2025?

I’m curious if bidding wars are still prevalent in Toronto's rental market. With the market seemingly cooling down, do landlords still expect applicants to offer more than the listed rent? How competitive is the rental competition right now? Any insights would be appreciated!
