Weird Lease Clauses - Any Help? I’m So Confused!

So, I just read my new lease and there's a clause that says I’m not allowed to have any houseplants? What’s that about? I can’t tell if this is standard or just totally bizarre. And, why would they care if I have a few plants? It feels a bit controlling, honestly.
