Queen West vs. Leslieville: Where’s the better rental vibe?

I’ve been tossing around whether to stay in my crummy Queen West place or move to Leslieville. Sure, Queen West has the artsy scene, but my landlord is a nightmare and the building's falling apart. Leslieville seems cozier, but is it worth the switch? Anyone have tales from either neighborhood?
