How safe is the Kensington Market area for a new grad in 2025?

I'm a recent graduate moving to Toronto and considering Kensington Market for my first apartment. It’s vibrant and diverse, but safety is a priority for me as I start my career. I'd love to hear about the safety of the neighborhood and any experiences from current residents.
