Seeking Temporary Rentals Without Airbnb's High Prices

I'm in Toronto for a 1-3 month work contract and the monthly rates on Airbnb are outrageous! It seems like a hotel bill rather than a rental. Are there any better options for furnished short-term rentals that won't break the bank? Any suggestions would help!
